  16. well i guess our OFW's do really need support such as this. Cause with all their efforts working overseas then such stuff is really a good complement for them. Or even to reciprocate what are they working for abroad. And plus i also stumbled at this website which apparently discusses issues about loaning concerns about local or even foreign ones. So i do hope you'll give an eye on it. :))

  17. what i can say is that it's really a good news to have people who cares for our brothers and sisters working abroad. for that kind of work effort should really be reciprocated with incentives. :)

  28. Well such information given by the OWWA , a lot of filipino grab this opportunity in order to provide the necessary things to fulfill the needs
of their family. In line with this, the question is how can we avail such programs if someone has no supporting documents to be presented ? Particularly those member working abroad for more than 2 years but they have no permanent employer in other words they were run away from their
employer. They can avail such loaning program?

    ReplyDelete
  29. The information is really good news if OWWA really supports the OFW... but as I've checked personally, so many requirements has to be submitted and you can't just apply for a loan without collateral. Current and ex OFW hope that they could take a loan as they have advertised online that OWWA is giving loans to all OFW but the mere fact when you'll gonna visit their office after waiting for so long it turns out to be negative and you will be dismayed.. how come that ofw or ex ofw that wants to finally settle in Pinas to put up business with the help of owwa can't even take a loan as they need to have existing business, an ofw or ex ofw can only take a loan if they will pass all the requirements needed by them, like there should be existing business, ITR for the last 3 years, and so on.. according to some of the stressed ofw its all pogi points of the government, which is somehow true... im not against owwa or granting a loan to ofw but the thing is they should make it clear that not all ofw/ex ofw can avail loan, they can avail loans if they have collateral, title, vehicles and the like... poor ofw always looking and hoping that owwa might be of big help but without proper education it could give them more disappointment and hope that all ofw/ex ofw whose reading this will not mislead with the belief that they can get a loan, it is still better to check it yourself so that you can have a clear picture of what is going on in OWWA office.. Loans loans loans ... sounds good but is it really something that you can hold unto?? think and go to the website directly to get accurate information...

Are OFW's Rich?

"Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) are not rich. We have this notion that when someone is an OFW or based abroad, he or she is loaded. Not true. An OFW might earn from P50K-P300K a month, depending on the location. Those in Saudi Arabia or the United States might earn in the high range. But to say that they're 'rich' is a fallacy (amen!). There's no place like home - Living Abroad : For some OFW's the notion maybe true but for most it's a fallacy like what the author of the article where I got the excerpt said. I have seen the plight of some unfortunate Filipinos working here in Qatar and even heard of some earning as low as QR 700.00 that is roughly Php 8,360.00. Imagine the hardships and the sacrifices it takes just to earn that meagre amount so they can send money home. I just can't imagine how they are surviving with that salary as the cost of living here is relatively higher compared to Saudi Arabia. My food allowance here ranges from QR 5
