Who's the Boss?

Immediate superiors are the primary Bosses, they are the ones who order you to finish this, finish that, and up they go ride their expensive cars, while you make your self absorbed with the pending works and beating the deadlines. 

The next morning the Boss will ask for it, read a little, ask some questions and sign, then up he goes again. The department get noticed because of the staff but who gets the credit, not me not you but the Boss.

Employees are human and bound to make mistakes, something wrong happened, who will be blamed? Definitely not the Boss but us employees who are doing all the work. Then he will call you for a meeting saying all those nasty words as if you were the dumbest person on earth. 

 A month will pass and you’ll get your hard earned salary, but please don’t ever compare your salary with that of the Boss surely you will be disappointed knowing that your basic salary is just as much as the Boss’ Accommodation allowance, do not attempt to look at his salary package as in this case you may get an heart-attack, your salary is just 20% of his, and you do almost 100% of the work. 

Someday you or me may become the Boss, don’t ever forget how it is when you were still the slave. Be a father or a mother to your staff and you’ll get the respect of a child to his parents. Delegate the job, supervise, be there when they need your guidance, be part of the mistakes and make decisions as if you're in the household as the head of a big family which is the real essence of being the BOSS.

    Being a subordinate is not easy. So every should aim to become a boss himself or herself someday.

    This is about the only way for one to gain what they call "financial independence," which means living in comfort without steady employment.

    Become a boss yourself by developing a second income or sideline. This is not difficult to do thanks to the internet and communications technology and the help that can be obtained readily from online business mentors.

    I guess there is no other way to achieved financial independence than what you have said grp.

Are OFW's Rich?

"Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) are not rich. We have this notion that when someone is an OFW or based abroad, he or she is loaded. Not true. An OFW might earn from P50K-P300K a month, depending on the location. Those in Saudi Arabia or the United States might earn in the high range. But to say that they're 'rich' is a fallacy (amen!). There's no place like home - Living Abroad : For some OFW's the notion maybe true but for most it's a fallacy like what the author of the article where I got the excerpt said. I have seen the plight of some unfortunate Filipinos working here in Qatar and even heard of some earning as low as QR 700.00 that is roughly Php 8,360.00. Imagine the hardships and the sacrifices it takes just to earn that meagre amount so they can send money home. I just can't imagine how they are surviving with that salary as the cost of living here is relatively higher compared to Saudi Arabia. My food allowance here ranges from QR 5...

One Car for Every OFW Tax Free

Image via Wikipedia One lazy evening my buddy Delfin, his wife and I were having coffee at a nearby coffee shop to where we live here in Qatar, it’s the usual conversation until it lead to about how difficult it is to acquire a Qatar driving license, then we turn to cars on how easy it is to own one here because banks here are so aggressively offering car loans to those who are interested even to those that are not interested. It is easier to buy a car abroad than in our country as the banks ask only of minimal requirements unlike in the Philippines where banks have their own agents to look into the credit standing of the person who is applying for a loan and sometimes even go deeper than that, as if he is some kind of a criminal being under surveillance but that’s my own observation anyway.
